I had an interesting training run on Wednesday morning. I met a paddler on the river who
stopped me and asked about a seat pad. I moved on a kilometre or two further and stopped to talk to two paddlers who were watching a large flock of cormorants feed. On my return I met two ladies paddling a canoe so I stopped and spent several minutes showing them the draw and pry strokes, (I had shown them the J stroke on a previous training run). A little further I met a couple who wanted advice about a backrest, then at Ascot Kayak Club a member wanted to know which Epic ski he
should tell his friend to buy. Then I chatted to two friends going on a social paddle and to finish off my morning training session I taught Margaret Jeffery how to Eskimo roll her kayak. (She managed about 30 rolls and completed a life long dream).
You can't beat a tough training session! Adelaide Marathon here I come!
