343.11 kilometres this Week
It has been my biggest week this week having paddled 343.11 kilometres, an average of 49 kms a day leaving me with 315 kilometres to go.
If all goes well I should reach my main target of 7000 kms by the end of the year.
If this happens I would have turned 70 and paddled 7000 kms in 7 months.
Have a very Happy Christmas.

Our paddling friend Jeremy Hood (35) passed away in hospital Tuesday night.
Jeremy had a medical episode while mountain biking last October.
Jeremy was such a great guy. He was so nice a guy that Alaine said she hoped that her daughter would marry someone like Jeremy.
There are many good people in the world and Jeremy would have been right up there at the top.
He will be missed.
Our condolences go out to his wife, family and friends.
Jeremy was a pilot and competed in 7 Avon Descents.
Kris, Geraint, Nina, Sharon and I did a valley trip and a tea tree trip with Jeremy in August.
There were a lot of young paddlers on the river on Monday from Bayswater and Ascot clubs being coached by Olympians Shannon Reynolds and Jaime Roberts.
Jack Bushby was one of them.
Jack was longing to have his photo taken.
So this is Jack Bushby.
Jack is 17 years old and lives in the hills and goes to Uni.
He is an AKC junior - should I say a cheeky AKC junior.
He is not shy and he even talks to 70 year old paddlers like me, so he must be a good lad.
Jack joined in on the PRG race on Tuesday night and won.
Jack and Anthony trying to stand up in their kayaks.
Ooops Jack lands on his kayak.
The kayak wasn't as strong as he thought.
Now it's a trip to the repairer.

I found this young pigeon in the river.
It must have fallen out of it's nest under Guildford Bridge.
I placed it on a barge to help it get dry and paddled 3 kilometres before returning to see how it was.
It could fly but not the best.
I caught it again and placed it in a less draughty place.
Young darters asking dad for a feed.
The Nankeen Night Heron is a stocky heron with rich cinnamon upper parts, white-buff underparts, a black crown, and yellow legs and feet. The head is large, the neck short (giving a stooped appearance), and the legs relatively short. During breeding the back of the head bears three white nuptial plumes. The bill is dark olivegreen, and the eyes are yellow.
Some well fed horses in Guildford.
Grapes are on the vines in the Swan Valley.
This young lad walked half way across the railway line bridge to jump off it.
The jump might not be dangerous but the walk across the bridge was.
In the early 1980s I was paddling under this rail bridge when I noticed a train had just stopped. The driver got out and asked if I could see a body. The man's bag was on the concrete pylon, blood was on the concrete pylon but he was no where to be seen. They found his body 3 days later when it came to the surface.
